Is DVD-9 enough this generation?

I believe the only ones are the Blu-ray defenders, in my case, I think that "one" DVD-9 (or two DVD 4.5, this way is cheaper) will be enough for most of the games almost the entire gen.

Big budget games, can take two or three disc, but they are not going to be a lot of them.

The blu-ray have not proved yet to be necessary.
