But I personally believe one must be pretty arrogant and full of oneself to go to such places and believe themselves to be even moderately safe.

There are many dying every day in the region, so I'm not surprised either. But who said they're surprised? Who said he believed himself to be safe because he's white & British? Your claims of him being "naive" are annoying because you're being prejudiced.

Yeah, im jumping to conclusions. But this is how i see the situation, not that big of a deal. Its just part of my aquarian detachment ;---p
i actually do believe people like him to be naive, and arrogant in ways not concievable to the naked eye.
