, in fact within the last few years thanks to lastgen lasting so long and this gen not being as big of a jump compared to lastgen as most people thought the has never been a better time to get into PC gaming even if as a 2nd gaming device The PS4 is optimized far better than any similar gaming PC would ever be. You'd need to spend at least 800$ to get the performance the PS4 can get out of it's best games.
