I used to work in Redneck Central. The kind of place where people still have up framed pictures of Jesse Helms shaking hands with Ronald Reagan.
One day, this out-of-town guy who was renting the trailer-house next door put up an Obama sign. His heresy quickly became the hot topic for the area.
Within a couple of days, it was gone. A gentleman who lived a few houses down admitted to the theft while hanging out in the store. It went something like this:
"I ain't gonna put up with that goddamn shit in my neighborhood. He puts out another one, I might shove it up his ass next time." (artist's recreation)
He was hailed as a hero. I think someone even bought him a pack of nabs.
