What you're saying makes no sense ... Beyond Two Souls resolution is 540x1280 which is a far cry from the standard 720x1280 HD resolution. 

A 720p cinema wide movie is between 533x1280 and 544x1280, still sold as HD. Beyond two souls doesn't upscale to 720p, it's native 720p with black bars. Which you can turn off in a debug menu.
