Of course, cause it's a totally comparable situation. Then how about critical reception? What would you rather have now? 

Lets just except that you both have your own preferences. In that sense critical reception and sales are irrelevant. In any case the games were both released in complete different era's with very different consoles environments. Direct comparisons are automatically flawed.
