Yeap, dont forget to factor in so many other things :0
~Like that SSB is over half of wat MK7/NSMB2/SM3DL LTD in 9 days.
~SSB has had major stock problems
~SM3DL+MK7 has Holiday sales in it which heavily benefits them.
~High Digital

None of that would fully compensate for 3x higher install base though
Same case for the Brawl comparison, I'd say 3DS Smash sales are less impressive despite being 100k higher. Hopefully that bodes well for the Wii U release, i.e appetite being higher on home consoles.
Finally I'd expect Smash to be more front loaded then ANY Mario Game.

100k higher? Its way over 150k, they had major stock problems and are continuing for over 3 weeks now. Digital is high definitely. Also SSB has huge legs as well, its a game that sells alot years after release. SSB Brawl still on the charts in japan and US despite being almost 7 years old :)
Also it is impressive as its the only game Nintendo game to hit over 1mil (that isnt pokemon) in over 18 years. I do understand the first 10 week comparison being in ssb favor but that doesn't mean much if it outsells either MK7/NSMB2/SM3DL LTD.
Sales are over 1.42mil currently with just 16 days and no holiday vs MK7 lifetime thats about 2.35mil

Oh don't get me wrong, the game's sales are amazing. Just saying that all comparisons to MarioKart and Previous Smash games have too many factors differentiating them for this to indictive of much at the moment :)
