 I actually didn't prior to this thread, l heard bits and bops but just knew that Nintendo chipped in and that Sega holted development.

There will always be some that didn't know, but it's still an exhausted topic. There's little merit in discussing something for the 100th time for the sake of a minority. Otherwise we end up with perpetual content recycling. We already get enough of that, no need to add to the fire :p

Anyway, this discussion is off topic. Just felt the need to point out that the thread topic has been worn out.
