I don't know but looking at how fast MS software development across the board has picked up speed I wouldn't be surprised if we get plenty of new amelioration all the time...
I have 2 parks at home 1 is 100% MS (xb360, xb one, win8.1, wp8.1) and 1 is a 100% (MacBook pro, iPad and iPhone (you guessed it for the noobs I the family, I have way less request that way) ) and to be frank when it comes to cycles lately apple is behind by far but in terms of innovation already before it was a joke but now it's seriously getting ridiculous... Apple is like the opium of computer technology user get a first few highs and then are chasing the dragon the rest of their life...
To be fair MS has had its ups and downs but globally after almost 20 years feeling out myself it's the most satisfying and truly innovating one among them all in the long run and they seem to be back with a vengeance and gearing up to be a force to reckon with on software side once again (not that they got beaten anyway)
