Sarah was shot by a human.
Humanity was dead to me and Joel after that moment. I'd save Ellie without hestitation.
The factors such as: How will the vaccine be distributed, and how there is a chance it could fail and it doesnt really save jack shit when all the vaccine does is make people immune. Those who are already infected are fucked and dead and the rest could very well be ripped to pieces, vaccine or not.
So no, fuck it. Even if it was a time travel machine, I'd save Ellie. I felt such an insane bond at that point, it's so hard to describe. As if I had a daughter of my own sounds about right :') <3
