PS1 - My cousin had one. MGS, Army Men 3d, Road Rage, Gran Turismo... etc.
PS2 - MGS2 and MGS3. MGS on PS1 was my favorite game before the PS2 came.
PS3 - MGS4, but then I got into Uncharted and other Sony exclusives.
PS4 - Well MGS is now multiplatform so it no longer has an influence, but the games like Uncharted, TLOU, Infamous, Bloodborne... were enough to get me to buy a PS4.
Other consoles I've owned in the past: Sega Saturn, SNES, Gamecube, and Wii.
