they've been pretty clear about it,.. about 50% new. i certainly recognize some of the old areas in the trailers but i also notice some of the tweaks to those areas and i notice some areas i've never seen.
i probably wouldn't double dip if it was a straight port but i certainly wouldn't care if it was a straight port either. as is i get a "sequel" sooner than expected. :P
i'm just glad the franchise doesn't die with vita. i liked this game a lot.
