You answered it yourself, it's to buy both versions of the game, and if you like the game so much you'd buy 2 of the same version just to keep your saved file.

Trust me I used to go to Nintendo World lots and there were some kids who has like 2 Blacks and 1 White. It wasn't common, but it wasn't rare either. Big reason why Pokémon games sell over 5+ mill.

So if we like a game we should buy a second copy? That's a terrible way to respond to this sort of thing. I'm a huge fan of Pokemon but having only one save slot really bugs me, especially since I like to replay the game on nuzlocke runs. Always hurts to delete my team and start anew. Nintendo is pretty much the only publisher that gets away with these archaic business practices.

You are absolutely right... I agree 100% with you. This is my ultimate pet peeve with Pokémon games as well. And I feel something should definitely be done about it.

But, me being a player since the Red/Blue days, I've sadly gotten used to it. Kids have gotten used to it as well. It seems Nintendo has benefitted financially from adult pokémon players ability to compromise and not expect anything more since they were trainned to only have one saved file since the beginning. Kids that usually play it don't even question why they have only one saved file, they are just thrilled they have rare pokémon or that they are playing pokémon all together. Plus Pokémon is many a first kids video game, so this would be the norm for them as well. Some kids just don't know better.

Only way Nintendo is going to get there act together is if no one buys AS/OR next. If you won't buy it I give you props man because I am more of a sucker!
