Not this again, don't pretend as if there is no change. Just take any PC game you have, play it on 720p and afterwards change it to 1080p. The difference is massive, even from far away. Even 900 - 1080p is a massive change from reasonable distance. 

Well, only one system left for the Lord of the Rings fans who want the games as well. The game looks really good on PS4 but didn't thought it would be that bad on Xone. At least I cannot wait for tomorrow!! Finally a good game in Middle-Earth in 1080p/~60

There really isn't a big difference between 720p and 1080p on a TV, imo. However, on a PC monitor, even 900p to 1080p is significant. But yeah, the 30fps thing is what I can't wrap my head around. If it were 720p and a (near) locked 60fps, there'd be no issue.
