God told both sides to slaughter the other side. And even more strange, in both cases it's the same god, as both are abrahamic religions.

God told neither side, really. That's what's funny about the Haredim or other Ultra-Orthodox in Israel right now. They happily leech off the Israeli state, but don't believe the country should exist because it wasn't founded by the Messiah.

Arab grievances against Israel are more Arab than Muslim, aside from the issue of al-Aqsa mosque.
