Destiny: Scrapped Story, Held Back Content, and On Disc DLC

I've yet to play Destiny, so please take my thoughts with a boulder of salt, but all the fallout from Destiny has seriously damaged the high level of respect I've held for Bungie for years. I'll always love Bungie for bringing the world Halo: Combat Evolved, arguably the single best FPS ever made, and the Halo series it spawned, arguably the single best FPS series ever.

But Bungie has really screwed the pooch with Destiny, especially if it's true that large sections of the base game were removed to sell later as DLC. I guess you can blame Activision for on-disc DLC, for the outrageously expensive advertising budget, for all the slimy business practices, but in the end Bungie got into bed with Activision.
