What you see is what you will get? A simple enough question to ask I suppose, but has anyone really considered the possibility that the answer is yes. Yes you know what all the major exclusives are for this year. Yes you know all the major multiple platform games. Yes there are no real surprises to be had. Just delays and new info on games we knew would be coming this year.

The month is April, and the previous three months have been a barren wasteland of new game announcements. A few bubbles came to the surface, but the surface of the pool is serene.  Time is only flowing against hope the more time we spend waiting the less likely anything is going to come from the depths to flesh out our gaming enjoyment this year. We have nine months left in the year. The first three months haven't been very fruitful. One perhaps two games for each platform worth noticing.

I think most of us expected more in the way of new announcments by now. Most especially given that the PS3 and the Wii are now in their second years, and the 360 is in its third. Yet we basically have the exact same libararies we started the year out with. With only a few minor alterations. So does anyone expect this to change any time soon. Unless new major games are announced now or in the near future it isn't very likely they will show up before the end of the year.

Please keep this thread about future prospects of major games announcements for this year. I think we all already know where the year stands at this particular point. That isn't really the question. I am just pointing out that we have basically gotten squat as far as major new game announcements go, and the clock is running down on the possibility of getting such for this year.
