It will get AAA for the moment. If the gap becomes big enough and Sony work their PR magic with firms, you may find devs opting just for the PS4 for a few reasons (as already seen with many new IPs and studios). Publishers go for both platforms due to market size, but as soon as on market is dominant and large enough, it might be more financially sound to just stick with one platform and give extra time into making a higher quality product rather than 2 average products. And that leads to my second point - content. More can be done with the PS4 and if devs get to the point where they realise that to make a new game with new content (opposed to reboxing the same game and calling it a sequel), you need the power of the PS4. Epic games are very much in this category as they made UE4 on the notion that people were going to stop buying games as they were all the same and nothing new was being offered, ergo to sell a game, you need new features. However, this is all detracting from the original point – xbone catching up to the ps4. As it currently stands, ergo forgetting my “possible” hypothesis, I can’t see any reason the xbone would match ps4 sales. Both are the same price yet the PS4 runs games better. Simply put, people I know who own a xbone have been disappointed. Those who own a PS4 have been very happy.

What major non-indie third party developers are releasing exclusive third party games? The only one I can think of is Square Enix (FFXIV), but that's on the PS3 so it's not a power gap issue.
If the PS2 didn't shut out the other two consoles then what makes you think the PS4 will? Developers are a lot less financially stable now so they can't afford to ignore a console, no matter how big the gap appears to be. If games like Call of Duty actually made it to the Wii last gen, then AAA games will be on the XB1 for years to come.
Yes the PS4 has more power, but do you really think developers will take time to actually add in a host of new things just for the PS4? Right now the only differences between multiplats are resolution, and sometimes colors. Also, there are plenty of XB1 games that are "new games with new content".
The last thing I can agree on. The XB1 will not catch up unless Sony does something stupid.
