Giving up at this point would hurt their image too much, though I do think the end is near. I have no doubt that the Wii U will have a shorter life-span than originally planned and I can't think anyone would believe otherwise. It will be interesting to see if it dies the same lingering death as the Wii, where they just kind of stop developing new games for it. We'll know it's not long for this world when the schedule is empty.
You know, though, I get the feeling there won't be much discussion in this thread and that it will mostly be dominated by stuff like "Pachters an idiot" and "I guess that means Nintendo won't give up on the Wii U then lol".
