Without stereotyping fanbases too much, this game seems to be:
- Classic "adventure" style gameplay with a focus on narrative.
- With a very oddball Japanese style.
Neither of those things I think mesh particularly well with XB1's current userbase. It's basically standing on its own among everything else that MS seems to be doing which is completely different.
PS4 or PC would've had more of a userbase match, imo.
Then again, Swery doesn't exactly make high budget games... so I'm surprised to see him saying that it hasn't sold enough.
