Most Nintendo games nowadays have furigana, and some of them (e.g. Mother 3, with a few exceptions) use kana only, but I guess those are not the games you have in mind.
I'm actually able to read kana pretty proficiently and know a handful of kanji, but I have almost no grasp of the language itself. I never really tried learning, though. Even kana and the few kanji, words and phrases I know I kind of just... happened to remember I guess. It's weird.

In other news, I've been shopping today in hopes of getting some new games for my Vita. I actually found quite a lot of Vita games at the local stores, but sadly, most of them still were full price, which is something I can't quite justify right now. Gotta wait some more to play Danganronpa and Danganronpa 2, I guess.
I did take a picture of one Saturn's Vita section though. Maybe you guys can appreciate it:

Also, I bought a 20€ PSN card at Müller for 19,99€, and it came in a PS4 packaging, too, which means I now have my first PS4 disc case. Yay! I already used some of that card to buy Monster Monpiece because I didn't want to return with nothing today, so I'm looking forward to play that.

That's much better than in most stores I've been to. Much of the time, the Vita and its games are basically shoved to a small corner where no one will notice.
