I mean he's a godslayer/god but there are literally immortals on the Super Smash roster: Rosalina (Goddess of the Cosmos), Palutena (Goddess of Light), Super Sonic (literally unkillable), Robin (literally a dragon-god reborn), Samus (grew up on Zebes* and has godlike ancient tech), and Kirby is an Eldritch Abomination (and, depending on how you interpret the lore, Galacta Knight).

Samus and Kirby are likely the strongest characters in the Nintendo universe who are seemingly not-gods to begin with.
