Because the number of people who read that is a tiny fraction of the people who read the trilogy and/or watched the movies.

Reviews are looking very good. I haven't checked the game videos etc. yet, so I'll do a research. It was a long time since the last decent LOTR game.

I agree, but it's not like most people who watch/play Tolkien actually read any of the books at all.   It's a shame really, The Silmarillion is amazing.
