Why don't Americans like hockey?

Football is fun to play, but you watch them huddle and stand around more than you watch them play. With Basketball they're scoring non stop. Why should I feel any interest when points are scored? Don't worry, I'm an American Sports fan and I'm the same way. I'd rather watch old women weaving baskets than an NBA game, and baseball is the coginitive equivalent of taking a light nap. I think the frequent breaks in the action of football (sometimes) help it be more engaging; every player has an important role each play, and anticipating what that will be and if they will pull it off adds to the excitement. Again, sometimes; it's rare I can make it through more than a quarter of a football game before I get bored/restless.

 

 

 Yea I am American and I agree.  I do enjoy football, but hockey is my favorite sport.

 

Why does everyone keep saying that it's so low scoring?  It really isn't...

I am severely depressed that my favorite team underperformmed this year.

 

To go from being the best in the league last season, and having two great years in a row, to not even  making the playoffs, really really sucks...
