i like how people are reveling in the fact that it flopped wishful that nintendo can port the game to other systems. LOL

Well I'm just reveling in it because some fans were quite smug about it. I don't want to see it doing bad. But obviously Platinum decided that it didn't matter to them that the game sells copies.

So if they don't want it to be successful, we should be supportive of their wishes.

Obviously sales for Platinum did matter, as the game would have sold 0 copies on X360/X1/PS3/PS4 - the game was cancelled. This way Platinum could finish Bayonetta 2 at all and it will get noticable better sales as if they weren't releasing it.

Nintendo already paid for everything so I doubt Platinum needs the sales. Nintendo does though. The win/loss scenario would've been the same if they didn't release it at all. No game to release, no cost to develop. And it's not like they wouldn't have work without Nintendo either. Microsoft proabably pays good money for Scalebound as well.
