As you quoted Mateus, he also believed/hoped that it would come soon "Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened" Matthew 24:33-35 ...and so have many believed trough the ages. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apocalypticism Why were they wrong? http://listverse.com/2013/01/02/top-10-reasons-humans-are-obsessed-with-the-apocalypse/ This is a very peaceful and affluent time in history. http://nocamels.com/2013/12/tel-aviv-university-we-are-living-in-the-most-peaceful-time-in-human-history/ |
True, it may come much later, but I base this in the fig tree parable, from Matthew 24 and from the Isaiah 66-7. The 1948 time frame and a generation after, so, it will probably happen before 2028.
Of course, as you said, I may be wrong. But the Sodom signs (imorality and sorcery) and Noah signs (animal hybrids and worship of fallen angels) are also strong signs.
