Earlier I tried one of the Legend missions on Hero difficulty. I totally got my ass kicked. I needed 2 normal combos for simple Outpost captains that are usually done after a short combo. You really need a lot stronger weapons and some of those neat defensive upgrades.

BTW What do those upgrades do actually? I'm seeing them for all elementals but nothing to boost your general defense.

It says that they reduce damage for levels where the elemental suggestion is this or that, so I guess that all enemies' attacks in such a level will be affected. Or in other words, there is never any use for general defense the way this game is programmed.

Hero difficulty will never get easy. With Link at level 80 and an 8-bit sword with 420 attack, it still takes several weak spot combos to finish off commanders (and many more to kill bosses). The game really drags on if it takes so long to kill stuff. Maybe there are level 4 weapons... I hope so.

Does that mean they are scaling up the enemies by level? What I described was with a Link Level 40 and 8Bit Sword 280ATK.

Well if it gets too hard at some Point I can still enjoy the game on Easy with my OP characters breezing through the waves :)

It's about time that I start leveling up my Lana. Stupid Link got all the action lately. And I haven't even tried out Zelda or Agitha yet.
