Sorry.  Haven't been on here like I used to.  Just a little excited, I guess.  Really, I'm not all that passionate about gaming as I used to be.  In the past, I've owned most other consoles at or near launch.  Even the Vita and 3DS wowed me.  Right now, my Xbox One and PS4 are Netf boxes.....on a TV with built in Netflix!!  And they weren'tcheap.

You're talking about quality of games.  to be honest, the Xbox One, PS4, and Wii U all have quality games.  Some consoles before actually launched with some of their best games (ie Halo, Super Mario 64, Soul Calibur) right out of the gate.  The good games are there.  I'm lookng for a good game that justifies the hardware.  Hell, I bought SSX, The Bouncer and Zone of Enders for PS2 during that first slow year just because they looked so good (better than Dreamcast).  I just want to be wowed by my new toys.  That's all.  So far, with the exception of Ryse and Infamous, all of my 8th gen games are available in pretty capable form on last gen hardware (not counting my Wii U stuff).

I see. I understand the desire to being wowed already, but to me, it's all about having fun. I don't have an 8th gen console, but if I had one and it provided me some games that I had fun with (regardless if they are multi-gen or not), I'd consider it a good purchase. The "WOW" games I expect to come later. Considering how the 7th gen happened, I'm really optmistic.

That's just me though.
