I know what you mean.. and I really believe that halo will move some consoles. But I stand by it not doing wonders for the XB1. Key difference being the position the XB1 is in this gen. The XB1 is not the go to mass market console the 360 was for most of last gen. And the proof of this is in how bad its sales have been this year. Or at least bad when compared to the PS4.
In a perfect world Halo 5 will be a big thing, but its just not gonna have the same effect on the XB1 sales as halo 3 had on the 360. We shouldn't just look at halo 5 as if the PS4 didnt exist. And I think it would be folly to keep ugnoring how successful the PS4 has so far managed to be and where it stands in gamers eyes so far. After all its a console that seems to have been selling for no apparent reason. Next year, it will have a lot of those reasons.
