I would call the free game with X1 promotion in America a success. For a GAME that was supposed to sell PS4 consoles there was only 57k difference. I am really surprised by this. I really thought with how high the Destiny PS4 Bundle had been on Amazon that it would have been a miniumum of 100k. The 227k difference in software sales between versions is more in line with my expectations. Although.. X1/X360 sales were only 27k behind PS4/PS3 sales. The X360 version outsold the PS3 by 200k. Anyone else surprised by this? |
PS4 is criminally undertracked lol. I am very certain that NPD will say otherwise, but I am not suprised that the Xbox One got a boost. Makes perfect sense seeing as free game week was allingned to Destiny launch.
