You and anyone that is making a point along those lines are wrong. 

Thats because be it samsung, amd foxconn...etc, as far as a console goes their business ends once the part is paid for or the hardware is assembled. The real money in consoles doesn't come from the hardware but from the continuous sales of software. Every year, sony/ms/nintendo stand to make over $500 in revenue from any one gamer.

And this is after that gamer has already paid them for the hardware.

 

but samsung could have been a force to reckon with in the gaming market though, if nothing else its because they actually make 80% of the stuf that goes into consoles. Their fabrication plants makes DRam and GDDR5 ram, they make hard drives and SSDs, they also make 22nm/28nm processors so an AMD apu could be manufactured inhouse in their plants. Basically, samsung can build and sell a $400 console that would cost sony or MS $800 to make.
