Those are my 2cents.

Yeah. Figured I'd wait for the 20nm process, but at $330, the 970 is pretty tempting for what it should be. Still need to see real world benchmarks from more independent testing sources.

Yeah, there aren't many GTX 970 reviews so far, but so far it looks like its as fast or faster than R9 290 and GTX 780 while being cheaper than both and using less (a lot less in the case of the AMD card) power.

The "problem" is that, with no reference card, every 970 will be different making comparisons a bit harder. At least, from this review, I know that I won't get the EVGA GTX 970 SC ACX2. Noise from the power circuitry in this day and age is unacceptable.

Reference and MSI:

Thanks for the links.

I'm looking at the Twin Frozr as previous cards with that cooler were good (although I've read some bad comments about the fans starting to make noise after a few months). If only they had added a backplate... oh, well, I can't expect the whole package, right?

With that said, it's the Zotac cards (both the Vanilla one and the AMP! edition) that have picked my interest. They look really small, which would be a bonus for my as my case is not that big (my 5850 barely fits without removing the HDD cage).

Please excuse my bad English.
