There's something called patience. You don't expect developers to unlock the full potential of these so-called current-gen consoles in a year, no? And, they're still getting held back by having titles that are cross-gen, resulting in experiences cut to fit on last-gen consoles.

A certain thread made by vivster, I believe I got the poster right, outlines other reasons for why this gen is worth a damn.

Besides, the existence of the Wii U is enough to refute your statement ;)
