Sony Japan has announced even more new engraved harddrive covers for the PlayStation 4, letting gamers customize their new consoles with designs from Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Sony's mascot cats, Toro and Kuro, originally seen in Doko Demo Issyo. They covers come in two different colors, as well—white with silver etching, and black with gold etching.
Sad news is that these cover are for now limited to be sold in Japan but the good news is that each new custom cover is pretty affordable—each one can be purchased as an add-on for 2,000 yen (about US$19). The bad news is that at the moment, they must be purchased along with a PS4 body. Currently, the covers can be added onto purchases of a Jet Black or Glacier White PS4, a PS4 camera bundle, the PS4 Destiny pack, or the PS4 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil limited pack with and without a camera.
