Well, i understand and agree with what he says, but it sounds to me he just got his feelings hurt by buying into the hype of watch dogs and destiny. You have to be patient and wait for the games that will make it worth it. Adecision he will regret once the new Fallout, mass effect or elder scrolls games debut. You need games that were pushing the previous hardware to its limits, to see a difference in the new ones. Even if graphics are not all the improvements, but gameplay with less or faster load times.
