Yeah MS was the publisher of ToV in the west, so I guess they got money hatted on that. lol!
Are youy sure about the bankruptcy thing? I think Tales Studio wasn't 100% owned by Bamco before they encountered money issues and was absorbed because of that. Kinda like what happened to Atlus with Sega or something close to that.

Namco was the publisher of Vesperia in the West actually. I wouldn't be surprised if MS helped with the localization considering the fast turnaround time though.

This was some of the most overblown misreporting I have seen yet, and you still keep repeating this bullshit after 4 years. Stop it! I repeat: Tales Studio never ever has been factually independent. Tales Studio never had any income and expenses of their own, it all always went through Bandai Namco Games. Tales Studio was always fully dependent on the money from Bandai Namco Games, and was never in the position to make independent decisions about any IP. The only reason such a (false) reporting was even possible is that Tales Studio, having started as a cooperation between Telenet Japan and Namco, was set up as a public company with legal obligations to do yearly reporting. Someone once (in 2010) looked at one such report, saw near zero equity and negative income and concluded "yeah, they must be dying"...

Well I guess that explains everything on why we aren't getting Patty the Pirate. :(
Someone should change Wiki then, if that's true. :/
