I was going to say the same thing, and I'll add that you can't put the radio volume to 0. WTF!

IIRC if you hit the dpad left or right a few times you cycle to "off" on the stations.

You can, but in the first game everytime you changed your car it put the radio back on. I found it easier to mute the radio than change stations all the time.
