I grew up on consoles and my girl friends growing up rarely if ever touched games, it was my guy friends that I could talk Metroid or Castlevania with. Now? My girl friends do play games, on their phones. Mainly puzzle games. That is fine, but it doesn't surprise me that when console gaming comes up I get mostly vacant expressions from them. Maybe enough Candy Crush will soften them to a Diablo session down the road.

If gaming was a city it use to be lightly populated. Now a new neighborhood was built and annexed, but the people there stay there and rarely visit the old town part. Maybe they will in time, so progress of a sort.
