I'm not Scottish, but I don't think I would be voting for independence if I was. Both Scotland and the rest of the UK are stronger together - we're small enough countries as it is to keep relevance on the world stage without splitting into smaller parts.

We're "small enough countries"? This may technically be so, but the union is far from equal. Scotland has only 8% of the UK's population. I think recent political advances have made it clear that Scotland has different ideologies and desires to the rest of the UK.

To the OP, and anyone else who's undecided. Please please PLEASE don't just flip a coin. You still have 24 hours to educate yourself. I know it's bamboozling, but don't let either side scare you or bribe you.

For the record, I can't vote because I'm living in England for my PhD so I've been trying to see things from both sides, as objectively as possible.

Whichever way you vote, do it with a clear head and a clear idea of what you think is best. Don't waste your vote. There are uncertainties, but it comes down to who you want to hold responsible for the future of your country - a government based 600 miles away in which we are a minority, or a local government with the sole purpose of representing the 5.3 million population of Scotland? I understand that may sound biased towards yes, but it's the question, isn't it?
