So it's phones fault...
I don't buy expensive phones, a cheap but rugged Motorola is more than enough for me, but I really can't understand why almost all people willing to spend a lot on these things go with Apple or Samsung like sheeps when many top end Sony models match them in HW, SW and communication features and, in some models, add water, shock and dust resistance, that in devices so expensive should be very desirable, and on top of all this, they offer a distinctive style, quite different from competitors. Luckily, recent polls show people liking (but this won't necessarily reflect on sales) the latest Motorola, Nexus and HTC top end models more than both iPhone 6 and the latest Samsung, maybe people are waking up, but I'd have expected a wamer welcome for the latest Sonys too.

The Z series has been very popular despite the cost, and they have compact versions of them too. I agree though, they really need to improve their low-end range. The mid-range phones were good last year but they were very slow with android updates and have recently said they wont be updated to kitkat... a perfect way to annoy your customers.

Well they arent listening to you.  They will abandon their low end.  And I have no idea why you think any of their phones are popular, they arent, thats why they had to revise down the forecasts for unit sales.

They will never make significant money in mobile.  Never.

OT

They also announced the dropping of the dividend on stock for the first time ever.  Get ready for a significant drop on the markets today and a hell of a rough reception for Kaz at the next shareholder general meeting.

Again, none of that indicates bankruptcy anytime soon. and you dont think the z series is popular? lol.
