Every game is rated for its own merit. You can compare games to get an understanding because games are different. Its not even because one is a AAA title and the other is a indie. The games are of various genres as well. Rogue Legacy is an incredible title. There is not too many indies that are the caliber of it. The other titles? Personally? I think are decent. Destiny? I think its great. It has its obvious flaws.
Also I wouldn't ever call an indie a next gen if it doesn't use "next" gen tech and capable on previous systems. As for people mentioning games getting 10s. I don't think people need to take it literal as in perfect. It still is a score and simply the highest you can get.
