Microsoft said no to the shared servers, they don't want Xbox gamers to play with PS gamers.
In dungeons, try to use your Emerald Carbuncle ! You're a DPS, so you should deal damage first. Your Topaz Carbuncle takes aggro, and it makes things more difficult for the real tank (I don't think you need an off-tank in the first dungeons). Use it only if your real tank is bad or dead (or in solo of course).
