I think scottish should do whatever they feel like. But, if i am honest, Scotland might have more to lose from independance than to gain. But if its something they want in their hearts, they should have it.

Personally, i am a forward thinker. I see the whole of EU uniting as a single country in the future. It will be necessary to rival with the great powers of the world. So, i wonder if this will make a big difference down the line anyways.

 

Firstly, there's nothing forward about that thought. Europe is being fed to the dogs because of the EU. I urge you to do substantial research into the matter. The bail-outs, centralization of power and open-borders-policy are absolutely killing the members of the EU (sans Germany). 

Luckily, many  of the countries are wisening up. You should see France/Greece leave the EU first, closely followed by several others. It'll happen in a few years. The socialist wellfare system that has been plaguing the once-mighty European nations has been utterly exposed.

The EU is an abomination.

And you think those countries will be better by themselves? Europe would be worthless without the EU.

You seem to forget theres an aager Putin right there willing to get what he wants by force. If the EU is weak and fractured it will slowly take over.
