I think perhaps you need to familiarise yourself with discussions more fully before entering into them. No one in this thread, least of all me, has denied that the entry price for an Xbox One experience has lowered, officially, one time. As you point out, the original SKU remains at its launch price. But what has occured in this thread, is the suggestion that Microsoft has in some way embarked upon a series of rash price cuts - something that is clearly untrue. Like-for-like, an Xbox One with Kinect costs what it always has. A Xbox One sans Kinect is offered at a lower price, that also hasn't moved. You can say something over and over again, and many in this thread have, it won't make it more true. When you have people saying an Xbox One is going to cost $200 in twelve months time, you should probably be examining who's ideas you're getting into bed with Edit: I see one person has claimed the entry price has not dropped - which is incorrect. |
Interesting choice of words for one arguing there has been no price cut.
Still, I'm not going to pursue this any further. It's the same thing as last gen. Xbox fans went on and on about no price cuts, using ridiculous reasoning, while everyone else knew what was up. And let's not forget the temporary price cut to $449 for the XBO w/ Kinect and Titanfall.
And while I agree there hasn't been a ton of price cuts, it's seems like more since it's been less than a year since it launched. Plus, all the XBOs with 1 or 2 free games. None of which has done much. Which leads me to believe whatever MS has planned this holiday season will do little, as well.
