Well, If a game is varying from 68 to 78 on metacritic, something is off. Also, why are we bringing the next COD into this? 

Well, a few reasons:

1. Some people though Destiny would be 'the CoD killer'.
2. Same publisher.
3. To compare what reviewers think about 2 different First Person Shooters.

Why would anyone think a MMORPG including Raids like World of Warcraft and so on will be the killer of a twitch shooter?
Those people clearly didn't look into what the game is about aka they are idiots.
This is like i would expect GTA to play like Gran Turismo just cause it has cars in it.

And this is why reviews are wrong
The first raid opens up this week - This is where the ratings should be based on.
But they rated the game on something that doesn't matter just cause they had other expecations from maybe Bungie or their own fantasies.
They thought Bungie would bring a 0815 Shooter Franchise with a story from A to B with a Multiplayer tacked on.
Wrong - Its a MMORPG with Raids and Content support for a long time.
