The company is small and only has 1 IP so buying the franchise or the company would cost the same, so they bought the company. What will happen can be: - Minecraft development will stop in some platforms. PS and Nintendo out, iOS PC, and Android maybe. Game will be basically XB exclusive. - Minecraft will continue in all platforms. But XB version will receive exclusive/timed exclusive content and expansions. - Minecraft will stay as it is. But they will do a much improved Minecraft 2 and release only on XB. Everyone expecting that the game will still be the same is being delusional. |
