Come on now.

If you don't like the fight pad, you are free to learn to play with a Pro controller. Or a Wii Remote & Nunchuk. Or the Classic Controller peripheral. Or a Wii Remote held sideways. Or a 3DS. Or a WaveBird via the GameCube Controller Adapter. Controller options are not an area in which Smash Wii U is lacking.

Having no wireless option to one of the best controllers of all time isn't what I would call "not lacking".

The WaveBird exists, but it has no purpose on the Wii U. Wired controllers are objectively superior for fighting games because of input lag. If anyone should be complaining about the lack of controller options, it's "pro" players whose only wired option is the GameCube controller.

If you really want a wireless controller, I strongly recommend the Pro Controller. Its digital triggers are much much better for Smash Bros than the GameCube's squishy analogue triggers.
