What would it take to crash the 'gamer game' industry?

Replace MS with Valve, or put both in for good measure.

This will cause the industry to get really close to crashing.

Makes sense to me, MS and Valve both gone means no new Windows gaming and no Steam OS.

 

But how do you envision that happening?

Google takes over the world with Chrome OS.

And prove Link and Nathan stole all the money Big N and Sony made from them by monitoring them slightly more than Microsoft? (Link is sooo much more of a kleptomaniac than Drake, but like a clever one he hides it in plain sight.)
