Wii:
Pros -
Unique control scheme that can add new dimensions to game play.
Great first party support.
Economical price.

Cons -
Unique control scheme that's tacked on to games that don't need it.
Loads of rushed, "who knew it'd be a hit", games.
The price isn't so economical when you've bought the extra wiimotes and nunchuks required to exploit the games full at-home multiplayer experience.

360:
Pros -
Best library of games so far.
Good graphics.
Great online play.

Excellent media server.

2008 lineup not shooter centric

Cons -
Sounds like a jet plane taking off in your living room. (not with falcon imo)
Shooter-centric (The JRPGs released so far are getting more credit than they deserve due to a lack of competition.)

PS3:
Pros -
Good graphics, potential for more.
Best Blu-Ray player on the market.
Excellent media server.
A lot of good games on the way (about the same point in it's life cycle that the 360 got a bunch of good games). But only if you like shooters for the most part.

Cons -
Suffering from mediocre ports that don't gain from PS3 hardware.
Poor selection of titles.
Pricey.

2008 main exclusives shooter centric - MGS4, Haze, KZ2, RFOM2

The fan noise kills 360 as a media server. I have a zephyr Elite though, so I can't compare with the Falcon.

I am going to disagree with this statement.  I have a refurb early 07 console (RROD replacement) and the fan noise on this is much quieter then my 60gig PS3.  Once the PS3 goes into 2nd or 3rd stage fan speed it is very loud.  It's quite disappointing when watching a Blu ray movie and having this fan noise going on.  It only take about 10-15 minutes before it's up to the highest stage of fan speed and it doesn't let off the entire movie.  That totally negates that arguement vs the PS3 imho.

Now if we're talking about gaming the DVD drive on my X360 is a turbine and much louder then the PS3 even on full fan speed.

Ya I should have said system noise, not fan noise. Though even without the drive going my 360 is louder than my PS3. I have the Zephyr motherboard Elite 360 and I have the 60gb Hardware BC PS3 from launch. I wonder if any websites have done an in-depth decibel analysis of all the various 360 and PS3 models.
