I got my 360 in Christmas 06 and its still running perfectly well. I've never personally seen a 360 thats red ringed itself however one of my mates has gone through about 4 of the things. Outside of him (he's a bit rough with the stuff he owns so he's not a good indication of how many 360's suffer from the RROD syndrome) none of my mates have had 360's die on them. However two of them have suffered the disk reading error.
